Kitchen Manager


  • Manage departmental duties include slicing, weighing, and wrapping full-service deli items, replenishing and rotating deli items in both the full-service and self-service cases, and maintaining deli slicing equipment
  • Mentor and train deli employees to provide excellent quality products and customer service
  • Maximize productivity and efficiency, setting schedules and managing labor for clerks and kitchen staff, minimizing shrink/waste and maximizing utilization/sell-through through effective, adaptive production planning
  • Maintain proper product assortment, merchandising, inventory control, and pricing integrity
  • Maintain safe, clean, and well-organized working and shopping environment
  • Comply with all regulatory rules and regulations


  • Three or more years of supervisory, managerial, or leadership experience in deli environment
  • Food service experience
  • Strong guest service background
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; can-do, positive attitude
  • Strong demonstrated merchandising skills and product knowledge
  • Comfort with basic business concepts like profit & loss (P&L), margins, etc.
  • Ability to take initiative and direct others, keeping everyone on task 
  • Ability to stay on top of the needs of the department and the manager's expectations
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of position, including but not limited to lifting up to 50 lbs and being able to work on one's feet for extended periods of time.
